That’s because you lock in a high yield that’s guaranteed from the day you open the account until the day it matures. Interest checks are available, if you like, on deposits of $5000 or more. You will receive notice when your Certificate of Deposit (CD) is maturing.

Short-Term CD. Our shortest term Certificate of Deposit available is 3 months with a $5,000 minimum deposit to open account and $5,000 minimum deposit to obtain APY (Annual Percentage Yield).
*Medium-Term CDs. Our 6- to 18-month medium-term CDs offer you higher yields than shorter term CDs.
*Long-Term CDs. If you have a long-term outlook, our CDs with maturities of 30 months or more reward you with the highest yields.
ALL CERTIFICATES OF DEPOSIT HAVE A SUBSTANTIAL PENALTY FOR EARLY WITHDRAWAL.
